Our mission is to bring joy, inspiration, personal power, and awareness of oneself and others into children’s lives through yoga and mindfulness. Tucson Kids Yoga classes are inclusive, developmentally appropriate, child directed, educational, and filled with laughter and joy.

We are committed to upholding the traditional cultural aspects of a yoga practice while making it accessible, relatable, and enjoyable for all children.

Tucson Kids Yoga’s vision is that all children have access to yoga and mindfulness. Sharing yoga and mindfulness in schools, early childhood centers, preschools, and daycares is how we strive to bring this vision to life. As a mobile “studio” with no brick and mortar location of our own, we go to where kids already are, instead of having them come to us. This removes barriers and gives more children the opportunity to participate in a yoga class.

About Tucson Kids Yoga

About Nicole Koleshis, TKY Founder and Director

Nicole (she/her) is a former school-based occupational therapist, teacher of Kids Yoga teachers, author of Yoga for Little Kids and KIDS YOGA: a complete practice, and lover of all things yoga and mindfulness.

She is a strong proponent of inclusivity, community, and finding joy in movement as well as stillness. She has been teaching yoga to children and families since 2002 and is considered a leader in the Kids Yoga industry. Children are her greatest source of inspiration and learning, and she is endlessly guided by their insightfulness, creativity, and ability to live in the moment.

Tucson Kids Yoga’s structure of bringing yoga into schools is modeled after Seattle Kids Yoga, also founded by Nicole and Tucson Kids Yoga’s sister “studio.”
